Despite its popularity, I’m not a big fan of this paid survey site and that’s the main reason why I decided to write this review.
It’s one of the oldest and most well-reputed web panels you’ll find. MySurvey was created by NFO (National Family Opinion) almost 2 decades ago but was acquired by Lightspeed Research back in 2010.
It’s a legit website, don’t even worry about that. You’ll get everything you earn if you reach the minimum withdrawal.
It’s super easy to go through all the available surveys. As soon as you’re logged-in, you can see all your surveys at a glance and pick the ones you prefer based on their approximate length and their worth.
Also, most of the surveys you’ll find on MySurvey are their own. What I mean is that you won’t often be redirected to a third party website and that completing your profile actually helps with survey pre-qualification.
There’s a new way to take surveys, which is called CamSurvey. You basically get recorded while watching videos and they check what you’re really looking at, when and your reactions. Those surveys pay more than the others and don’t require anything more than a webcam.
I find that most surveys pay really poorly. I get tons of 20-30 cents surveys that take 20 minutes to complete. Less than a dollar an hour. I’m well aware of the rates in the “paid surveys industry” and that doesn’t come close to anything that makes sense to me.
Withdrawing your earnings takes quite a while. You’ll most likely only get your money a couple of weeks after requesting it.
To finish with, if you’ve already look around online, you might have noticed the incredible amount of complaints from people having technical problems, getting screened out and not getting their points.
All in all, I think MySurvey is slowly declining.
It’s super simple. After signing-up, you’ll be redirected to the main page where you can see all your available surveys, how much time they each take and how much each is worth.
Simply pick the ones you prefer and complete them. Upon completion, you’ll be rewarded the amount specified at start.
Your earning are accumulated into your account until you reach the required minimum of 10$ (1000 points). You’ll then be able to withdraw your earnings through PayPal or in exchange for a gift card of your choice.
You can also earn more money by referring your friends and going to the CamSurvey section below the “Profile” tab at the top.
What I take surveys, I always pick the short ones first. Taking survey isn’t always fun (heck, it rarely is), but when you do the small ones, you usually don’t have the time to get bored or tired. While on the other end, taking long surveys (20-30 minutes) can be really hard on the mind and if you have to quit for any reason, you’ll have lose all that time for nothing.
So, unless they are paying really well, I’d recommend to stay away from those lengthy surveys.
Well, taking surveys is quite an easy way to earn spending money from home.
